The shirt given to Robert Colbert by Paul Reickhoff on May 5th's "The Colbert Report" was perfect. The shirt was black with circles in red ending in a "Bulls Eye." This was given to Colbert for his upcoming, yet top-secret place & time visit to the Middle East to visit our troops.
At first I thought the Bulls Eye was a bit weird to give anyone. Especially to a person on the way to the Middle East to support the troops. It is a bit weird, still.
It is Weird unless you say to your self. . . " We need Target these folks returning from the Middle East - those who were shipped out without warning from their daily lives into a worthless and Illegal War - and Shoot for putting them back into our World of disconcerned and thankless citizens who tend never to care any less about those folks.
That Bulls Eye can be a symbol of our need to push for the 1.8 million people who have been there - not to mention their families who had to put up (and many were not able to put up) with this senseless war that tore people away from their American Dream only to return to emptiness from those they believed they were protecting.
So that Bulls Eye shirt to be worn by Robert Colbert may just turn into a new American symbol representing those folks that were taken advantage of and now need our help getting back to the world they left behind.
Not a Bad Bulls Eye.
