I am a member of the OEF/OIF Seamless Transition Team at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. I am seeking to get my information out via your network to render my assistance to any and all veterans that need VA assistance. Within my network we cover three states, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama, so if anyone is looking for additional assistance in the Georgia area they may contact me via phone or email.
The goal of the team is to honor and welcome home all service members/veterans who have recently returned from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Work in cooperation with the Department of Defense to help make each service member’s transition from active duty military to civilian life as smooth and seamless as possible.
Provide veterans who have served in the war zone with free health care for conditions potentially related to combat service for at least five years following their separation from active duty.
Referring and connecting veterans with other veteran benefits i.e. Compensation or Pension, Education, Insurance, Vocational Rehabilitation and/or Employment assistance.
Provide holistic support and referral for: work, family relationships, social activity and educational goals with the ultimate goal of improving the veteran’s quality of life.
